Spring Bass and New Retro Rods
First, shop news…
We just got in a new product from Jigging World. You may have already heard about the Jigging World Retro blanks. We now have the Jigging World Retro Rods in stock. These are factory rods built on the Retro blanks. There are two weights and two colors, making 4 distinct models. The available weights are Medium, which handles 3 to 10 oz, and medium-heavy, which handles 4 to 12 oz. The brown rods are wrapped as straight conventional rods while the black rods are spiral wrapped. All have a glass feel and taper with the lightness and sensitivity of a carbon fiber rod. If you want to build one yourself, we also have the blanks available. Just contact us if you need one shipped. And if you want one of these with the expertise Blackcloud Bob brings to the build, we have the Retro Custom Specs available.
The fishing in the bay has been improving. We are getting reports from all areas of the bay, so the fish are now moving around. If you are not finding them, you should move around too. Bloodworms are still the best way to go, but soft plastic paddletails and shads are a good solid second choice. Keep them on the small side.
Some recent catches:
