We had a busy weekend here at Grumpys Tackle. We had a big shipment of items that we have had on order for almost a year (not kidding) and the fishing has been improving. Some of the biggest news in the shop is we have changed over to our summer hours. We will be open 4:30 AM to 8:00 PM every day for the foreseeable future. Of course, our online shop is open 24x7….. Another big week here at Grumpys. Ray has been on a buying spree and his orders are coming in. It's like he had a drunken bender Thanksgiving night on that big website named after a tribe of warrior women, and now all the boxes are showing up. He's a bit overwhelmed... This week in Grumpys shop news, like most other weeks, we had new products come in. We had more Van Staal reels come in, including a couple of the updated for 2021 VR series reels. These have an stronger main shaft, better waterproofing and now offer black as a color in all sizes. We also got in the hard to find Van Staal Power Grip Handle Knob for the VSX reels. Ok, so yesterday’s fishing report was a joke. Some might say a cruel joke. I guess it depends on whether you fell for it. One person in the shop did. I won’t say who, but he took his fancy kayak, some big circle hooks and his pink fishing rods to the Toms River to try and catch whatever was stealing everyone’ s fish….
