The MaiTai Blackfish 1HK rig is a simple single hook rig designed to fish wrecks for blackfish. They are tied with quality 40 pound monofilament, with Gamkatsu Octopus hooks. The leader is approximately 24 inches long with a barrel swivel at the top, a single hook attached to a dropper loop midway down, and a loop at the bottom for your sinker. They work well with crabs, clams, shrimp and small pieces of cut bait.
Perfect for blackfish (tautog), but also great for black sea bass, snapper, ling, whiting, and any other deep water bottom fish.
