The Tsunami SALTX II Spinning reel is one of the most advanced designs in watertight reels built from the highest quality machined parts. Built for performance and durability, each SALTX II reel combines the most efficient and advanced functions and features available in spinning reels.
The fully sealed design boasts 20 separate seals to prevent salt and other contaminants from damaging the reel or interfering with its functionality, season after season. The "Hammer Drag System” has multiple seals to insure smooth, powerful function in any condition. The digitally optimized S-Drive precision stainless steel main and pinion gears assure strength and smooth operation under load. Seven dual sealed stainless steel ball bearings are paired with a one of a kind sealed anti reverse bearing found only in SALTX II reels.
Both the body and rotor are precision machined from A6061 aluminum for strength and weight reduction. The braid ready spool has a Titanium lip to resist damage and reduce weight. The bail wire and main shaft of each reel is also made of Titanium to reduce weight and improve performance. The manually operated bail mechanism functions with a sealed piston bail spring.

Shipping costs are calculated during the checkout process. Depending on the item(s) ordered, customers are presented with a choice of shipping options. Oversize Items (such as fishing rods) or multiple package shipments may require additional charges. In-Stock items are usually shipped within 3 to 5 business days. Customized items (such as reels pre-spooled with line) may take up to an extra two business days to ship to allow for the customizations to be made.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the carrier/options chosen at checkout. Shipping costs include the cost of the packaging.
Free Economy Shipping is offered on orders over $100.00. If this option is chosen at checkout, the carrier and service used to ship the order is determined by Grumpys Tackle at the time of order fulfillment. Some items, such as fishing rods and other odd/over sized items, are excluded from the free shipping offer.
Store pick up is available as an option, and is free. Store pickup orders will be available in 2 to 4 business days. Customized items, such as reels pre-spooled with line, may take up to an extra two days. Customers will be notified by e-mail or text, per the customers preference, when the order is ready. Orders will not be ready for pickup prior to the e-mail or text indicating so. When picking up an order, a customer will be required to provide the order number and a valid form of ID. Orders will not be released to anyone other that the customer who's name is on the invoice unless prior arrangements are made. Orders are to be picked up at 906 NE Central Ave, Seaside Park, NJ and will be available from Sunday to Thursday, Noon to 7:00 PM.
Shipping Fishing Rods: We have customized our shipping of fishing rods to fall into 7 tiers. All but the last tier (Tier MP - Market Price) are a flat rate to ship the rods. Multiple factors went into determining which tier a rod will fall into, including but not limited to cost of the rod, size of the box needed to ship the rod, etc. Rods may switch tiers due to the factors calculating their tier having changed. To determine a shipping cost on a specific rod, add it to you cart and go through the checkout process to the shipping section.

For the limited time I had using the SaltX II 6000 series reel in the surf, it worked flawlessly and smoothly. Late into the fall run, I was able to cast out into the edge of the striper blitz that was just outside of the range of everyone else casting around me at the southern edge of Seaside Park.
I can't wait until the late spring run that will allow me to put this reel to good use. But so far I'm impressed with its action.
