T-Minus One Day

But first, shop news…

With the impending opening of the back bays to striped bass fishing, we will be having a seminar on fishing the back bays.  It will start at 5:00 on Friday (2/28), will be held next door in Yakkiy Yak's and will be livestreamed on Facebook.  Scott is going to have some good information on how to target early season bass.  Watch until the end because there will be a coupon code given out for the online store.  It will be for 10% off and for a very short time, so be ready.

We have added two new items from Tsunami to the shop.  First is the Tsunami Tidal Pro Minnow, a 6 inch, slender bodied jerkbait that already looks like a surf fishing hit.  It has a weight transfer system for longer casts, and SaltX treble hooks to keep the fish attached.  It floats and dives down around 3 feet, perfect for a sandy beach.  Check them out.

Next is the Tsunami Tidal Pro Topwater Bait,  a 6 inch walk-the-dog style popper that is also going to be a big hit.   They come with SaltX treble hooks attached, so no need for hook upgrades.  Get one and get ready for some awesome topwater bites.

Danco added a new model to the line of Premio line of titanium pliers.  The 7” Offshore model has a thicker jaw to handle bigger hooks, and the same quality titanium construction and replaceable line cutters of the Premio line.  These will be great for the boat angler and the surf angler targeting bigger fish.

We have also added a new line of pliers from Danco that have a little big of bling to them.  Check out the Admiral Tournament Series Pliers.  They are aluminum pliers with Teflon coated stainless steel jaws.  The aluminum has a rubberized pain coating that comes in some interesting colors.  They come with a lanyard and a molded sheath.

One more sleep until opening day (as of the writing of this report).  We have a whole list of recommended products for the back bay striper bite, which you can check out here.

With the upcoming opening day preparations, upcoming seminar, and the “will be here quicker than you think” saltwater fishing show in Edison NJ, Ray is juggling a couple of balls.  He’s doing OK though,,.

But, with Ray being the boss, he has delegated some of that juggling.  Others are not doing as well…
