Grumpys Tackle will have a table at the Southern Regional Fisherman’s Flea Market on Saturday February 8th. The event takes place at Southern Regional Middle School at 75 Cedar Bridge Rd, Manahawkin NJ and runs from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. It’s $4 to enter, and children under 12 are free with an adult. Grumpys will have plenty of discounted tackle, lures, rods, reels, and other items. Come by and check it out.
We recently received a small shipment of the new Shimano Tramx B Low Profle reels. These upgraded Tranx reels are available currently in the 300 size only, We have them in store and online.
It’s February in New Jersey, so there isn’t much fishing to report. The surf is quiet, the back bay has been giving up some white perch for those crazy enough to brave the elements. The other option to bend a rod is to jump on a party or charter boat for blackfish when the weather allows.
This is Super Bowl weekend, and it was almost a euphoric weekend for Ray and his Commanders, except they came up a little short in the NFC Playoffs. As many of you know, Ray lost a bet with Jim Hutchinson Jr and had to wear an Eagles Jersey while giving the fishing report on Jim’s VLOG. What no one saw was Ray was transformed after wearing that jersey. He went home and developed a school boy crush on the Philadelphia Eagles. So in honor of the Eagles being in the Super Bowl, and Valentine’s Day approaching, here are a few of Ray’s Valentine’s to the Eagles.
