Seminar Saturday!
First, shop news…
In case you haven’t heard, we are having a seminar on Saturday at 3:00 pm at the shop. The subject is Early Spring Backwater Striped Bass Fishing. We'll be having our seminar next door at Yakkity Yaks Kayaks. Seminar will start at 3 pm and end when all questions are finished. Seating will be limited. Bring a chair if you want to ensure you have a place to rest your butt. If you're unable to make it, or if you suffer from claustrophobia, agoraphobia or ochlophobia, we will be streaming it live on Facebook. You can watch here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1333909837281200/. Coffee and snacks will be provided (in person only, but we can throw some in front of the camera if you want to see what you are missing.). We look forward to seeing everyone. We'll have an extensive Q&A afterwards for any questions you may have. (“Serious questions only” 😊). Oh, and did we mention, it is free? Yup, just show up…
We received a shipment of hand-tied rigs from Backlash Sportfishing. These are some of the nicest hand-tied rigs available. We got in the Surfcaster Specials Fish Finder Rigs, the Surfcaster Special Dropper Loop Rigs, the Surfcaster Special Teaser Rigs and the Surfcaster Special Big Game Fish Finder Rigs (for those going after something truly impressive).
As of the time of this writing, we have 7 days until the New Jersey backwaters open for striped bass, but who’s counting? For now, we have been hearing the white perch bite has been good. We have the rigs and blood worms for those who want to give it a shot.
So as far as we can tell, Saturday will be Scott’s first “professional” seminar. Contrary to popular belief, he is not a public speaker (or so he claims). We suspect the start will go like this…
Or it will just go swimmingly. There is only one way to find out...
