Edison Saltwater Fishing Expo (Booth 249)
All Your Inshore and Surf Rod Needs in One Place (like our shop, but further north…). Come see us at booth 249 at the Saltwater Fishing Expo in Edison. We will have rods from all of the excellent manufacturers below, including custom rods built in our shop. We will have the new Daiwa Blackline Rods, plus both new surf lines from Tsunami. The full line of ODM rods will be on display, plus the most popular rods from Century, Black Hole, RH Customs and Jigging World. Some limited show specials will be available. There will also be discontinued rods from St Croix, Black Hole and Penn at blowout prices.
For those of you who receive our e-mail newsletters, the above text is going to be familiar to you. However, there is one change for the show. Scott and Bob were up in Edison today setting up the booth, and Scott decided they had a little bit of extra room, so now we will have reels. Some of your favorites from Van Staal, Shimano, Daiwa and Penn.
The fishing in the back bay is heating up. The bass have been on the move, and while they can still be found on the west side of the bay and the rivers and creeks that feed it, they are also now showing up on the east side of the bay. Some keeper sized fish too. Bloodworms are still the ticket. We have the rigs you will need.
We have also heard of a few striped bass in the surf. Worms are the ticket here too, but clams may also work.
We have also heard the winter flounder are starting to bite. Bloodworms or small pieces of clam for these. We have the chum pots and rigs for them.
Here are a couple of notable recent catches:
@Highiron60 got this nice bass on bloodworms in the bay
Bob with a 28.5 inch bass taken on bloodworms from the local docks.
With all the changes of what was and was not going to be brought to Edison, Scott was, well, you can see….
