Best Surf Fluke Fishing We have Seen

Today was an incredible day of fluke fishing.  We have never seen fluke fishing like this from the surf for as long as Grumpys has been open.  Here is the photo proof (all from Monday’s fishing, all from the surf).

Lou De Fonteny brought in the first fluke of the day, a nice 22 inch, 4 pound fluke.

Next, John Testa brought in a nice 2.3 pound fluke caught on Gulp!

Bergen County Pete was up next with a 21 inch, 3.4 pound fluke.

The infamous Mr Scabelly himself brought in two fluke up 3.15 pounds and 20 inches.  Seems John is trying to challenge Scott (see below) for most ridiculous pose with a fish.

Phil brought in a couple fluke to 4.5 pounds, caught on Gulp!

Steve brought in a nice fluke, also caught on Gulp!

This 4 pound fluke was caught by someone we will call Camera Shy Matt.

Matt and Chris brought in a nice pair of fluke.  19 ¾ inches, 2.6 pounds and 18 inches, 2.0 pounds respectively.

Eddie brought in this nice surf caught fluke, and is showing off the S&S Fluke Nukem Bucktail that fooled it.

Richie and Scott brought in a nice IBSP limit of fluke, the largest weighing 3.3 pounds.  They were caught on S&S Bucktails and Gulp!

George Miller sent in this picture of his daughter Madilyn, who put on a clinic catching fluke today.  This is just one of the many that fell for the S&S Fluke Nukem Bucktail and Gulp! combo she was casting.

With all these fluke around, now would be a good time to hit the beach.  But you have to work?  We hear there is a strain of posterior glaucoma going around.  What is that?  Well, its when you can’t see your butt going into work today…

Speaking of not going to work, Ray went home from work early today.  He may have eaten too many hot dogs yesterday.  Or maybe he just wanted to celebrate eating so many hot dogs.  How does he celebrate?  Like this:
